The Attitude is Everything organization has awarded Silver Status of its Charter of Best Practice to Britain's All Points East (APE) festival, honoring its inclusivity and access for fans who are deaf and disabled. APE's current accessibility efforts include a dedicated entrance lane, pre-bookable viewing platforms, on-site and year-round dedicated access customer service teams, accommodations for customers with guide dogs, accessible toilets at each toilet block, Hearing Induction Loops, lowered counters, charging points for chairs, and online EasyReads. The event also will shortly launch new initiatives for next year, such as deploying the accessibility software Recite Me onto the APE website, so customers can customize the site in the most convenient way. Attitude is Everything CEO Suzanne Bull lauded APE's "superb customer service team supporting disabled customers onsite," and the festival's engagement "with customer feedback and Disability Equality Training," in addition to facilities like a High Dependency Unit and multiple viewing platforms and lowered bars. APE also is dedicated to sustainability by using 100% HVO Biofuel, and is striving to phase out single-use plastic from all serveware.
