YouTube announced that it will mark a decade of livestreaming the Coachella music festival weekends by streaming both weekends through desktop, mobile, and the YouTube Music app. Livestream feeds of different stages and performers will be held simultaneously, while YouTube offerings will be enlarged to include artist interviews, behind-the-scenes content and sweepstakes, pre-parties and more. This year virtual festival-goers will be able to buy exclusive Coachella and artist merchandise through YouTube Shopping and engage with one another in real-time via YouTube's Live Chat. The second weekend will feature the Coachella Curated Livestream, which will delve deep into artists' stories, ranging from encore performances to artist commentary to mini-documentaries. The livestream offers fans an opportunity to discover new artists in addition to original content and performances on the festival's roster.
