You Can Now Sell Your NFL Tickets Directly to StubHub in Seconds
CNet (11/06/19) Rubin, Ben Fox
StubHub is now offering National Football League ticket holders the opportunity to sell off their tickets directly to the company through its Sell It Now feature. Sell It Now will display an offer price for a ticket while the owner is listing it on StubHub's website, and the feature is being tested on a handful of games each week following its rollout in October. "We see this as the beginnings of a new market," said StubHub's Todd Northcutt. "Our goal is to try to make it as easy as possible for consumers to sell their tickets." According to Northcutt, the ticketing company envisions Sell It Now as a tool for bolstering its position as a preferred destination for buyers and sellers, which should help StubHub vie with rivals like SeatGeek and Ticketmaster. Sell It Now is currently available on most major U.S. sports on StubHub, and Northcutt said the company plans to add other genres, such as plays and concerts, in early 2020. The feature is part of a kit of new options that StubHub has been developing to ease online ticket sales. "Every seller has different motivations for selling, and we want to make sure we have a tool for each one of them," Northcutt noted.
