The Xtreme Football League (XFL) will in six months launch a new partnership with Ticketmaster and three new teams at stadiums in San Antonio, Las Vegas and Orlando. The collaboration will include all 43 games of the XFL season, including 40 regular season games, two playoffs and the championship. Fans can use mobile devices to manage verified tickets by downloading them to a digital wallet or the Ticketmaster-powered XFL mobile app, which will come out later this year; they can also use "virtual venue" technology with three-dimensional stadium views to make informed seat choices. This represents the XFL's third try at establishing a presence amid many failed spring pro football leagues in the past four decades. Eight XFL teams share a hub in Arlington, Texas, with participating teams heading for scheduled games that begin on Feb. 18, 2023. Existing teams from 2020 include Houston, Seattle, St. Louis, Washington, D.C. and Arlington. Orlando's Camping World Stadium is poised to fully leverage the XFL opportunity, and Chief Venues Officer Allen Johnson said the city's contract with the league could include sharing in ancillary revenue streams like food, beverage and parking. "We invested almost $300 million into Camping World Stadium to make it a first-class venue," he said. "We often say it's the best non-[National Football League] stadium in the country. Others may argue but we feel pretty strongly about it."
