Live Nation's Women Nation Fund has announced Tina Farris Tours, Conscious City Guide, and Kingdom of Mind as the first three recipients of its inaugural funding run. Live Nation is also working with each firm to deliver resources, mentoring, and assistance to help develop the companies. Tina Farris Tours handles tour management for various artists, and co-produces Roots Picnic, Broccoli City, and newcomer Queensfest. Founder Tina Farris also rolled out a women's mentoring group called "Decades," which has produced events and conferences in four countries. Conscious City Guide, co-founded by Mel Nahas and Kiki Falconer, is a Web platform that identifies and promotes live events globally to foster self-, community- or planetary-awareness, featuring more than 12,000 events since launch and offering event ticketing. Isabella Kelly's Kingdom of Mind oversees event production and promotions, with planned expansions to the Pacific Northwest. "We started the Women Nation Fund to help expand the pool of female entrepreneurs in the live music space, and this first group of female founders...is incredibly impressive, diverse, and ambitious," said Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino. "By backing these women, we hope to help them grow their companies in new directions and set the stage for even more women to lead the future of live."
