'We're Going to Shock the World': Browns Fans Pay Big Money to Experience Kansas City Game in Person

Cleveland Browns fans scooped up limited tickets to see their team play the Kansas City Chiefs in the next round of the NFL Playoffs, with Amazing Tickets president Mark Klang saying demand spiked as the Browns led the Pittsburgh Steelers approaching halftime in this past Sunday’s Wild Card game. Prices doubled to at least $500 for upper level seats, while secondary-market tickets were scarce by Monday afternoon. Klang expects limited stadium capacity plus enthusiasm among Browns fans will lead to more Browns than Chiefs fans inside Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium. Arrowhead has deployed COVID guidelines similar to those at Cleveland's FirstEnergy Stadium, with masks mandatory, capacity capped at about 17,000 fans, and social distancing and other precautions implemented. Dan Tierney, a spokesperson for Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, said the state encourages fans traveling for the game to consider self-quarantining for two weeks after if they have had a higher risk of exposure, including mixing with people from outside their households. He added that the travel advisory is not applicable to people traveling for work purposes, including Browns players and staff.
