Usher was one of the big winners at this past Sunday's 2024 BET Awards, which were presented at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. In addition to winning best male R&B/pop artist for the fifth time, he received a lifetime achievement award. Usher now ranks second only to Chris Brown for most wins for best male R&B/pop artist. Brown is a seven-time winner. At 45, Usher is the second-youngest recipient of BET’s lifetime achievement award. Whitney Houston, the inaugural recipient in 2001, was the youngest (37 at the time). Other winners this year included: Monét's "On My Mama" for video of the year, Killer Mike's "Michael" for album of the year, and Kendrick Lamar for best male hip-hop artist for a record-extending seventh time.
