The United Football League (UFL) is set to launch a new team in Oklahoma City starting with the 2028 spring football season. The yet-to-be-named team will play its home games in the city’s new downtown stadium. To be called the MAPS 4 Multipurpose Stadium, it's currently under development and targeting a first-quarter 2028 grand opening with a capacity of more than 10,000. The stadium will serve as the anchor of a new multi-use cultural district stretching from downtown to the Oklahoma River. The project will be within walking distance of the new Continental Coliseum and the Oklahoma City Convention Center. The MAPS 4 stadium is estimated to cost up to $121 million and will be managed by Echo Investment Capital.
