Ticketmaster and TikTok have partnered on the launch of a feature that lets users find events and purchase tickets through the short-form video app. Creators can look for relevant Ticketmaster events and add destination links to videos, while Ticketmaster says the new feature will be exclusively available to select creators at launch and will scale to more users later. Qualifying creators can choose the "Add link" option after tapping and selecting the new Ticketmaster option prior to posting videos, and then can search for any event on Ticketmaster and tap "Add to video" to add the link. Shared videos will display the event link on the bottom-left, allowing viewers to click and buy tickets through an in-app browser. Ticketmaster says it wants to reach fans on popular platforms such as TikTok. The company adds that the partnership will give event organizers and creators a new channel to reach ticket buyers. Artists and personalities that have already signed on to use the ticketing mini app include Demi Lovato, OneRepublic, Usher, Backstreet Boys and WWE. The joint project with TikTok is part of Ticketmaster's agenda to continually enhance event discovery on fans' favorite platforms.
