With high demand reserved seating shows as well as general admission events, the management company at The Coliseo (ASM Global), needed to source a modern and flexible ticketing platform that could manage the load of 40,000 visitors looking to buy tickets during an on-sale for the most popular performers capable of selling out a whole series of shows. They wanted a system that would allow visitors to be able to choose their seats from a map, deliver electronic tickets, and provide business intelligence tools to help promoters maximize their revenues.
Local ticket company and ticketing services supplier Ticketera worked together with ASM Global to understand the Coliseo’s ticketing priorities. This resulted in the selection and deployment of the Nliven platform from TixTrack to provide a robust and scalable Cloud-based solution that is designed to display up to 22,000 individual searchable seats on a mobile handset. Nliven can also display reserved seats and general admission sections on the same plan, and provides full end-to-end ticketing including Box Office counter sales and integrated Access Control.
Ticketera's selection process proved to be correct when the Coliseo subsequently conducted a series of high profile on-sales for “Daddy Yankee” and sold out ten individual shows in record time.
