As of Monday, the Feb. 11 Super Bowl in Las Vegas is the most expensive one on record from a ticketing perspective, reports TickPick. The average price is hovering around $9,800, a whopping 70% more expensive than a seat at the previous year's big game. The current "get-in" price (i.e., the cheapest) for this year's match-up of the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers is $8,188, or more than 50% pricier than the cheapest ticket for last year’s Super Bowl during this time when it cost $5,997. One huge factor for the soaring prices is the city itself. Brett Goldberg, co-CEO of TickPick, told CNN "the location is turning a three-hour game into a week full of festivities for fans attending."
