Hundreds of U.K. football fans will likely be disappointed ahead of the Champions League final in Madrid as ticket agencies fail to provide them with game tickets. Both Premier League sides have stoked unhappiness among fans by only offering an estimated allocation of 16,613 tickets per club for the 63,500-capacity Wanda Metropolitano stadium. Liverpool and Tottenham fans will reportedly be evicted from UEFA Fan Zones three hours before kick-off, which is fueling security fears. The UEFA claims that Fan Zones always close before kick-off in recent years, and this season will be no exception. This is provoking anxiety about disastrous fallout in Madrid, with some online secondary ticket agencies apparently refunding fans as they struggle to meet the demand for tickets amid inflated prices on the market. Also reported are cases in which tickets are non-deliverable for seats which have already been sold and withdrawn by agencies who are after even higher prices. "Many of the secondary sellers are in a mess because they are being let down by suppliers who can now get more for their tickets with prices shooting up since they first advertised and sold them," says one industry insider.
