Wait Time Technologies offers equipment that venues are using to shorten wait times at concession stands and restrooms. The San Francisco 49ers forged a multiyear agreement with the company to accelerate the process for their all-inclusive concessions model for 60,000 season-ticket holders at Levi's Stadium. Wait Time employs artificial intelligence to reduce wait times via digital wayfinding displays on the concourse. A dashboard function in tablet form allows venue operators to track fan movement and make adjustments to add staff at concessions when required. Through the arrangement with Wait Time, the 49ers will incorporate the technology into Executive Huddle, the data analytics hub at the stadium's 50-yard line, where officials collect nine data streams to resolve problems in the parking lots, entrance gates, concessions and restrooms. Forty cameras also will be installed overhead on the concourses to help measure traffic flow and how fans migrate to concessions, in order to test setups inside the stands to see which support the best customer experience. "It only took a global pandemic to really have people take our software seriously for what we've been marketing for years," said Wait Time founder Zachary Klima. "We already had the social distancing part of our algorithm built out. It's another switch we turned on when it came to rewriting the rules of the new normal."
