The U.S. Is Next: Festicket Secures $4.6M From Edge Investments in the U.K.

Edge Investments in the U.K. has granted $4.6 million to Festicket, which permits festival-goers to buy unique experiences alongside their ticket. Festicket works with festivals to provide travel packages combining tickets, accommodation, and transfers, and also helps customers find suitable events by analyzing listening habits on Spotify. Festicket says it presently has 2.5 million customers and more than 1,200 festivals and 4,500 suppliers across 50 countries. "The new round of funding will support more product and technology work to continue to improve our user experience and discovery tools," notes Festicket co-founder Jonathan Younes. "We are delighted to welcome the Edge Investments team and build, with their support, the best platform for festival fans around the world." The investment backs Festicket's expansion into new markets, mainly North America and Asia. Also planned for this year is the addition of a paid membership tier, carrying benefits for subscribers. "The experience, events, and festival markets continue to grow exponentially, and Festicket is strategically positioned to benefit from these combined trends as a horizontally integrated platform," says Edge Investments director David Fisher. "We are delighted to support them on their journey."
