Oslo, Apr 10, 2024 : Tixly, a leader in performing arts ticketing software, is thrilled to announce a significant collaboration with The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet in Oslo as they have chosen Tixly to provide their ticketing services. The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet is the largest music and performing arts institution in the country, welcoming almost 350 000 guests every year, alongside being one of the most known buildings in the vibrant city of Oslo. The Oslo Opera House is a reputable and respected organisation and this partnership is a significant milestone for Tixly.
Tixly began expanding out of their home country, Iceland, in 2017 under the leadership of Sindri Finnbogason who is the founder of Tixly. The first country Tixly started operations in was Norway but as of today the company is operating in twelve countries and runs nine offices and is a leader in their segment in the Nordic region.
“We are immensely proud of having the opportunity to work with such a prestigious organisation such as the opera & ballet. When we began our expansion, Norway was the first country we started in and now seven years later it’s incredibly exciting to welcome the largest cultural venue in the country to Tixly. A performing arts venue such as the opera in Oslo requires a powerful system which offers flexibility and robust features. The fact that we were chosen to partner with them, simply shows that our event ticketing software is world-class. We’re very grateful for the trust everyone at the opera & ballet has shown us and we look forward to working with them."
- HREFNA SIF JÓNSDÓTTIR, MANAGING DIRECTOR, TIXLY
“Last autumn, we launched a tender competition to select a new vendor for our ticketing system. We decided to partner with Tixly, a company providing key features that align well with our strategic goals of digitisation and process automation. Tixly presented a secure and modern solution, with rich functionality supported by modern integration mechanisms, and a user-friendly, intuitive interface to leverage the buying experience. We are pleased to be successfully operational on our new system and look forward to a close, collaborative relationship with Tixly to ensure further success in our ticket sales.”
- MARIANNE EIDE, HEAD OF SYSTEM AND ANALYSIS, THE NORWEGIAN NATIONAL OPERA & BALLET
Tixly, founded in 2014, currently has over 150 clients worldwide with their headquarters being located in Iceland.
