Runnera's U.S.-based Move to Earn platform will soon launch the first-ever Metaverse-based athletic competition in a virtual stadium, which will be held for a 100-meter race among 45 participants. The nonfungible token (NFT) platform's launch will be conducted in partnership with Suffescom Solutions. The virtual stadium is set up to host 100-meter, 200-meter and 500-meter races, and has a 4,500+ visitors sitting capacity. Move to Earn facilitates the buying and selling of blockchain-secured tickets, while the stadium includes a museum to showcase top shots of events. Spectators can enroll to view the event in their preferred language, as well as purchase jerseys to support athletes from the native NFT marketplace. Features for athletes include exclusive avatars or digital twins with three-dimensional immersive technology, native tokens awarded to winners, specially designed digital shoes linked to step-counting apps and the ability to sell their unique competition clips, autographs and pictures on the NFT marketplace.
