The 2024 Grammy Awards were given out Sunday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with Trevor Noah hosting for the fourth year in a row. The evening was filled with a number of memorable moments and milestones. Chiefly, Taylor Swift broke the record for most wins for Album of the Year, having gone into the ceremony tied with Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, and Frank Sinatra with three. Swift surprised many when she used her time at the podium to announce that her next new album will be released in April. Other noteworthy happenings included: Miley Cyrus winning her first two Grammys ever, Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs taking the stage to sing a duet of "Fast Car," a heartfelt tribute performance by Annie Lennox honoring the late Sinead O'Connor, and legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell performing at the Grammy Awards for the first time ever in her 56-year-long career. The icon recently celebrated her 80th birthday.
