Sodexo Live! Expands Local for College Football

Sodexo Live! recently announced new alliances to provide local cuisine at college football games this year, including partnerships with Fairway Packing Co. and Shenanigans. Fairway will provide fresh meat for burger patties at Michigan Stadium, while Shenanigans will serve crab and shrimp boils at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium during Ole Miss games in Oxford, Miss. Sodexo Live! will supply Fairway's meats for various menu items, in addition to feeding athletes. The partnership was necessary, because Michigan Stadium has only one kitchen. Fairway sales director Mike Langewicz says Sodexo Live! can benefit from such partnerships because "smaller, local companies have great products and services and can react quickly to get it done." Shenanigans owners Darrien and Shalonda Linton took a little persuading to partner with Sodexo Live! on the Ole Miss operation, but Darrien credits the food and beverage company and the stadium with providing planning and support. Points-of-sale have also been upgraded at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for faster transaction times, and new terminals have been installed throughout the venue, totaling 250.
