Live Nation and Boston's Fenway Park abruptly canceled a recent sold-out Shakira concert because of what it described at the time as “unforeseen circumstances.” Also canceled was a show featuring Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn scheduled for the following evening at the historic ballpark. Fenway Park’s live events social media page posted a brief statement a few hours before the second show, stating: "Refunds will be available at your point of purchase. We apologize for the inconvenience." Live Nation has since disclosed that, during a routine pre-show check, structural elements of the stadium were identified as not being up to standard. As a result, the two shows were canceled.
