The historic Regency Ballroom in San Francisco has undergone a multimillion-dollar round of renovations that has added modern amenities to the revered building. Danny Bell, senior vice president of talent buyer Goldenvoice, comments, "It’s important for us to preserve the rich history of the building while making improvements to the audience and artist experience. We believe in San Francisco and are excited to give it a beautiful, revitalized music venue." Goldenvoice books and operates the 1,424-capacity venue that was constructed in 1909. Among the main features of the renovation are a new DigiCo front-of-house mixing console and a new L Series sound system from L-Acoustics. Event spaces have also seen upgrades, including LED moving lights, an upstage video wall and a new HVAC system.
