See Tickets North America Welcomes Rebecca Throne as SVP of Strategy & Partnerships
Los Angeles, CA – October 25, 2022: See Tickets North America announces Rebecca Throne as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships. Throne brings a diverse network of skills and experience to See Tickets. In this newly created position, she will guide non-music related ticketed events and partners through See Tickets’ rapidly expanding North American client base.
In Throne’s previous role as the Head of Ticketing for the Burning Man Project, which produces the iconic annual Burning Man event, her work reformed the social and cultural potential of ticketing strategies. While working with Burning Man, Throne navigated transitions across four different ticketing platforms, leading to the creation of private ticketing exchanges, which allowed customers to be in control of their own ticketing experience while keeping resale prices down. In this ecosystem, buyers could sell back their tickets instead of turning to often unreliable third party ticketing resources, creating a safe and verifiable method of reselling by keeping tickets circulating within the community – an idea later widely adopted in the event ticketing industry.
During her 15 years working with Burning Man, Throne’s unique ticketing strategy captured and nurtured the project’s mission while providing the nonprofit with the resources needed to sustain its year-round cultural mission.
