The Los Angeles-based Season Share platform allows sports team backers to easily purchase a share of season tickets on a digital device with friends, while concurrently identifying these fans to the team's marketing department. The San Francisco 49ers will be the first team to use Season Share. "We're solving a massive black hole issue, bringing share partners out of the shadows and into the light," says Season Share CEO Aaron Holland. "We fit into the natural sales cycle. It's a tool to empower the in-house sales staff, there's no change in workflow and it drives season-ticket sales while solving two big pain points for fans: upfront costs and ticket utilization." Friends can form a group of up to four individuals through Season Share, and register for how many games and tickets they would each like to buy out of the entire season; a group holds a live virtual draft to divide the tickets. Participants can employ a proprietary chat function to converse, swap tickets later, or place tickets on the secondary market to the team's preferred ticket reseller, at no cost. Season Share is integrated with Ticketmaster season-ticket sales app Archtics, SeatGeek, and Tickets.com. Holland notes the platform will offer a white-label solution that can interface with websites or apps for teams.
