Playbill (04/15/26) Masseron, Meg
New York City's top neuroinclusive theatre company will present a new staging of Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize–winning "Rent" this summer, featuring an almost entirely neurodiverse and disabled cast. Travis Burbee has been tapped to direct the production, which will run from June 4 through June 14 at A.R.T./New York Theatres. The rock musical retells Puccini's "La Bohème story," transforming its 19th-century Bohemians into a group of '80s-era artists living in New York's East Village in the 1980s during the AIDS crisis. This Epic Players production will re-imagine the show through a neurodivergent and disability-centered lens.
