The Los Angeles Rams changed their policy so that Ticketmaster-administered public ticket sales for the National Football Conference (NFC) Championship Game between the Rams and the San Francisco 49ers at SoFi Stadium was limited to residents of the Greater Los Angeles region. Residency is determined on credit card billing address at checkout. StubHub, however, offered 49ers fans a way to get in. "As partners of the [National Football League], we've ensured that NFC Championship tickets bought and sold on StubHub, no matter what zip code the buyer is in, will be accepted," said StubHub spokesperson Mike Silveira. He also noted that "over 44% of tickets sold to California buyers on StubHub were to buyers in Northern California, which is a sharp increase from the Rams-49ers matchup at SoFi earlier ... where 20% of California buyers on StubHub were Bay Area fans. Overall, we're seeing record levels of fan excitement for this matchup, which is trending towards being the 3rd best-selling playoff game in StubHub history."
