Patron Technology Hires Doug Lyons as SVP of Marketing
PITTSBURGH, PA - January 21, 2020
Patron Technology CRO, Brian Arnone, announced today that ticketing industry veteran Doug Lyons has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Marketing. Lyons brings to the table a wealth of invaluable experience stemming from senior management roles with major ticketing companies including Paciolan, Tickets.com, AXS, and SeatGeek, as well as the entertainment consulting business he co-founded, Neon Palm Tree.
“We’re excited to have Doug join the team,” Arnone said. “His extensive experience in the live entertainment business goes far beyond ticketing, so having him as our SVP of Marketing to help share the story of our complete, data-driven event technology solution is key.”
Lyons’s career in event technology spans over 20 years where he started by managing and supporting in-house ticketing, marketing, and CRM/fundraising applications for high-profile presenters and venues including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He then joined Paciolan in 2001 where he would spend a number of years helping the company develop markets outside of their traditional college and university base. After a brief stint working for Ticketmaster in 2008, Lyons spent five years with Tickets.com, serving as VP of Marketing & Communications. Lyons then transitioned to the roles of VP of Product Marketing and VP of Business Development at AEG-founded AXS, and then later to SeatGeek as EVP of Client Services.

Lyons is based in New Orleans, LA and will be part of Patron Technology’s senior leadership team, lending his experience and unique insight to help leverage the event technology giant for further growth in the coming year and beyond.
