Paris passed the Olympic torch to Los Angeles at this past weekend's Closing Ceremony, which featured a skydiving Tom Cruise and Grammy winning singer Billie Eilish representing the City of Angels as it took over Olympic hosting duties from the French capital. To commemorate the previous two-plus weeks of sports and drama, Paris held a boisterous, star-studded closing ceremony in France's national stadium that also included a call for peace from International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach. Before making his appeal for "a culture of peace" in a war-torn world, Bach jokingly called the Paris Games "Seine-sational" — a nod to the Seine River that staged Olympic triathlon and marathon swimming events and the memorable Opening Ceremony.
