"Paddington: The Musical," based on the hit movie franchise about a marmalade-loving bear, is opening on Broadway in the spring of 2027. It will play at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre after "Moulin Rouge" wraps up its seven-year run, with performances starting on March 30 ahead of opening night on April 18. Like the popular film series, the stage show is based on a children’s book series by British author Michael Bond. The story follows a small, lost bear from Peru who arrives in London looking for a place to call home. The show, which originated on London’s West End, won seven Olivier Awards, including Best Musical.
