New Jersey-based NFT-TiX has partnered with Europe's Exit Festival to power the music festival's ticketing system, transitioning to a blockchain-based architecture. NFT-TiX founder and CEO Emil Ljesnjanin called the collaboration "a huge vote of confidence in our platform and our ability to provide a better ticketing experience for both festivals and fans." NFT-TiX's system lets event organizers create and sell non-fungible token (NFT) tickets directly to fans without intermediation. "Our platform streamlines the ticketing process and empowers both festivals and fans by giving them more control over the ticket buying experience," Ljesnjanin said. The company stated that visitors can use NFT-TiX to purchase various tiers of tickets — including Silver, Gold and Platinum — directly from its platform. Smart contracts allow NFT-TiX to track and confirm each ticket, making paper tickets or will-call lines redundant. "We can finally put an end to ticket fraud and resale, and fans can be confident they're getting the tickets they paid for," Ljesnjanin said.
