The National Football League (NFL) is fining about 100 players and a couple of dozen club employees for violating league policy by selling Super Bowl LIX tickets above face value. Still underway, the investigation has revealed that these players and coaches sold tickets to so-called "bundlers," who worked with a ticket reseller to sell those tickets above face value. This is not allowed under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The NFL has further stated that it will be enhancing the mandatory compliance training regarding this policy for all league personnel, as well as increasing the penalties for future violations. According to the CBA, players on all 32 NFL teams are permitted to buy a couple of tickets for the Super Bowl each year, but they cannot resell the tickets for profit. Super Bowl LIX took place in New Orleans earlier this year, with the Philadelphia Eagles prevailing over the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22.
