PRINCETON, NJ (March 18, 2025) – An upgrade is coming to the digital ticketing experience at McCarter Theatre Center, which recently adopted the True Tickets service to offer a secure digital wallet solution including Apple Wallet support.
This collaboration marks a significant improvement to McCarter’s ticketing system, introducing a more user-friendly, innovative, and secure alternative to printed or print-at-home tickets. True Tickets’ mobile delivery service eliminates friction points, allowing patrons to more effortlessly take their seats.
“Over the past year, we’ve been taking big steps to make it easier for folks to find the events they’re most excited about and reserve their seats,” said McCarter Executive Director Martin Miller. “This past summer, we launched a brand-new, responsive website, featuring McCarter’s updated branding. Now, our tickets will be more modern and user friendly, too. No more emailed PDFs—your tickets will be delivered straight to your digital wallet. Any mobile user can find them with a click. And just like at the airport, if you’re using Apple Wallet, they’ll helpfully pop up when you arrive at the theatre to scan at the door.”
Through the new digital wallet, patrons who buy a ticket for a friend can pass it along to them directly via text message or email. In the event of a schedule change or cancellation–or if a patron requests an exchange or seat change–the ticket will be immediately updated.
Ken Lesnik, Head of Business Development at True Tickets, added, “We’re excited to collaborate with McCarter to offer a ticketing solution that not only minimizes fraud but also elevates the overall enjoyment for their audiences, ensuring they have a seamless path to the transformative power of live theater.”
