Duke earned the No. 1 overall seed for March Madness this past weekend, followed by Arizona, Michigan and Florida, with some prognosticators forecasting a repeat of last season when all four No. 1s made it to the Final Four. Among the most interesting footnotes, Miami (Ohio) made the field as a No. 11 seed with a 31-1 record, but the 339th-ranked strength of schedule. The RedHawks were one of the last teams to make it in. The tournament began on Tuesday, March 17, with various play-in games. The national champion will be crowned on April 6 in Indianapolis. The Southeastern Conference led the way by placing 10 teams in the field of 68, which was four short of its record from a year prior.
