Maine Gov. Janet Mills last week signed a tough new ticketing reform bill into law that bans speculative ticketing, enacts a resale price cap of 10% above face value and includes fee disclosure requirements for both primary and secondary ticketers. Additionally, the new law enacts refund requirements on secondary sellers for counterfeit tickets, cancelled events, untimely delivery, and false representations and bans the use of bots to circumvent purchasing limits. The law goes into effect 90 days after the June 18, 2025, signing. Any violations carry fines of up to $10,000.
