Earlier this year, the U.K. trade body LIVE (Live Music Industry Venues & Entertainment), which represents 15 live music industry organizations, launched the LIVE Trust. This initiative offers financial support to those working across grassroots live music. Spring forward to today and The LIVE Trust has already had more than £500,000 (US$568,000) pledged in ticket contributions from U.K. tours of such domestic and international artists as Diana Ross, Hans Zimmer and Mumford and Sons. The trust receives funding from a voluntary contribution of £1 per ticket from stadium and arena concerts with a capacity of more than 5,000 seats.
