LEIF Welcomes Australian Government's Latest Round of Rise Grant Awards
Sydney and Melbourne (30 July 2021) – The Live Entertainment Industry Forum (LEIF) welcomes the $40 million boost to Australia’s creative and entertainment sector delivered today by the Federal Government under the fourth batch of grants from its $200 million Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund.
LEIF Co-Chairs Geoff Jones, CEO of TEG, and Roger Field, President Asia Pacific of Live Nation and Co-Chair of LEIF, said: “We want to thank the Government, the Department and The Creative Economy Taskforce for the vital RISE funding awarded to 82 organisations in the latest round of grant awards.
“These grants will go directly back into the live entertainment and events industry to artists, crew, production, suppliers and venues, all of whom continue to struggle due to the pandemic.
“RISE is an important part of the package of support measures our industry needs and we look forward to continuing to work closely with Federal and State Governments to ensure the industry can survive the huge ongoing challenges it faces due to the pandemic. Minister Fletcher continues to engage with the Industry to understand those challenges we still face.”
