The Latin Recording Academy announced its second annual Leading Ladies of Entertainment Connect TogetHER mentorship program, where prominent women in the Latin music industry will convene to discuss and provide one-on-one mentoring for young aspirants. Scheduled for March 8, the virtual session is being hosted in collaboration with She Is The Music, a nonprofit seeking to boost the number of women in music. "In order to create meaningful and sustainable change, the industry must be focused on mentoring our next generation of women in music," stated She Is The Music Latin committee co-chair Alexandra Lioutikoff. "As always, we are grateful to our incredible mentors who will guide and inspire this year's class of mentees and show the world all of the invaluable potential that Latin women bring to music." Participating mentors will include NARS Records and Dream Asylum Studios VP Marcella Araica; Rocío Guerrero, global head of Latin music for Amazon Music; Rosa Lagarrigue, CEO of artist management company RLM; Spotify's managing director of Latin America Mia Nygren; and Latin Grammy-winning pianist, arranger and director Janina Rosado. The panel will be moderated by Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation Executive Director Raquel Egusquiza.
