Looking at ticketing and live event news breaking across several countries around the globe recently, deal maker extraordinaire Don Elford exited his role as director of global partnerships at Legends Global, citing "personal priorities." Global partnership, activations and naming rights, and sponsorships will now draw on Legends Global's teams in North America and Europe. In New South Wales, the NSW government announced that venues no longer have to apply in some circumstances for "outdated ... arduous, expensive planning approvals,” reports nighttime economy minister John Graham. These included allowing venues that host music, comedy and book readings to also have them outdoors and for street fairs and community festivals to be held on government land. In New Zealand, the government is considering a plan to increase the amount of concerts at Auckland's Eden Park Stadium. The venue has a 65,000-seat capacity for concerts and 50,000 for sporting events. In Malaysia, the Communications Ministry has clarified that its recently updated guidelines on dress codes for foreign concert artists apply to the performers only and not to the members audience for such concerts. Finally, Japan's long-running female idol act Perfume has announced it has gone on hiatus following its recent sold-out 25th anniversary tour that concluded on Sept. 25.
