The Indian edition of Lollapalooza this past weekend was an unqualified success, with Imagine Dragons and The Strokes headlining, plus local and international acts on hand to give live entertainment in India a new lease on life. The two-day event was India's first-ever large-scale international music festival, produced and promoted by the ticketing platform BookMyShow, Perry Farrell and C3 Presents. Lollapalooza India also introduced the #LollaForChange campaign to promote minimal waste, food waste management and greater sustainability. The event's success silenced many skeptics who took to social media beforehand to voice their reservations about the lineup. "I'm telling you, it's only looking up for the Indian music industry," said a Delhi-based fan named Sakshi. "I think we have to give ourselves some credit too. We're a great fan base and I'm glad international artists are finally recognizing that."
