The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association announced that the Hollywood Bowl will reopen with restrictions next month, and hopefully expand as health guidelines are amended. The Bowl will open with an audience capacity limited to 4,000, and it will host four free concerts for healthcare workers, first responders and essential workers. The Bowl will kick off 14 weeks of concerts in July, while The Ford will open a 15-week season in late July. "After more than a year of tremendous hardship and incredible demonstrations of resilience and care across our community, we are looking forward to reuniting our audiences, with one another and with live music at the Hollywood Bowl and The Ford," declared LA Philharmonic Association CEOs David C. Bohnett and Chad Smith. "We are wasting no time in hiring seasonal staff and implementing policies and procedures designed for the safety of our audiences, artists and staff." Three of the first free concerts at the Bowl are facilitated through a partnership with Kaiser Permanente. Upcoming shows include Hall and Oates, Alanis Morrissette and Andrea Bocelli in October, and Russ and Steely Dan in May 2022.
