The Hollywood Bowl was forced to cancel this past Sunday night's Vance Joy concert after a power outage earlier in the day impacted approximately 1,400 households in the Hollywood area. A heat wave in Southern California continued that day with one more 100-plus-degree day. The start time of the performance, 7 p.m. PT, saw the thermometer still at 90 degrees in downtown Los Angeles, according to the National Weather Service. Portions of the Hollywood Hills surrounding the iconic L.A. venue remained dark throughout the evening, along with parts of Hollywood proper, forcing the Bowl to cancel Joy's show. Once a new date for the concert is confirmed, details will be made public and tickets for the original date will be honored.
