The Tony Awards were given out this past Sunday evening, with "Stereophonic" winning Best Play and "The Outsiders" taking Best Musical. The ceremony was marked by a number of surprises, most notably "Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe taking home Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his work in "Merrily We Roll Along." However, "Merrily We Roll Along" surprisingly came up empty in the Best Directing category, as Danya Taymor of the "The Outsiders" bested odds-on favorite Maria Friedman. Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night was the fact that there were no sweeps. The wins were pretty evenly divided amongst the shows. "Hell's Kitchen," which came in with the most nominations with 13 , ended up with just two Tonys.
