Anwar Nasir has agreed to serve as the next president and CEO of The Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago. Nasir will join the lakeside event this summer from the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, where he has been executive director since 2021. The Philadelphia native succeeds Paul Winberg, who retired back in April. The festival's CFO, Hannah Lehman, has been serving as interim president and chief executive while a permanent successor was being sought. Prior to his current position in Louisiana, Nasir was chief revenue and advancement officer with the Omaha Symphony.
