From Taylor Swift Concerts to Expert Wine Tastings: Superyachts Are Now Exclusive Venues for A-List Entertainment

Yachts are regaining popularity as venues for A-list events and performances amid soaring expectations stoked by the post-pandemic environment and a resurgent you-only-live-once attitude. A-listers such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Drake and Ariana Grande are part of the stable of GF Entertainment who do private concerts on superyachts. “Our founder has a background in the music industry that gives us a unique position,” says David Smith, GF's director of superyacht entertainment. “We eliminate layers of red tape — that inhibit discussions with the artists — to keep the process fast-moving. There's nothing like a front-row seat in an intimate setting.” GF's Immersive Piano Add-on Experience involves transporting a grand piano onto a vessel with an audio reproduction system and engineer to perform signal mixing, while Grammy-nominated pianist Vincent Corver is on hand to play original film music.
