Foo Fighters announced that they will play Madison Square Garden's first concert since the coronavirus pandemic began on June 20, before a full-capacity crowd of vaccinated fans. The event follows several New York Knicks basketball games held at the Garden, including three playoff games in late May and early June that hosted about 15,000 fans each. "The Garden is ready to rock," said MSG Entertainment CEO James Dolan. "We've been waiting for this moment for 15 months and are excited to finally welcome a packed house of roaring, fully-vaccinated Foo Fighters fans to Madison Square Garden." MSG Entertainment also recently announced the reopening of Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theatre, which will both host full-capacity, vaccinated audiences later in June. Also booked at the Garden in the months ahead are the Eagles, Maluma, Chris Stapleton, Billy Joel, Luke Combs and Genesis.
