Live Nation has expanded the Femme It Forward music and entertainment platform by establishing a joint venture showcasing the industry's most creative and accomplished female visionaries. Femme It Forward founder Heather Lowery is still director of the platform, which since its April 2019 launch has produced more than 20 shows and panels across the U.S. featuring all-women lineups. A piece of each ticket sold was donated directly to charities supporting women in music education, career development, empowerment, homelessness, domestic abuse and incarceration. The joint venture will let Femme It Forward reach out across multiple genres of music and entertainment media, including female-led music festivals, concerts, original content, comedy performances, philanthropic projects, panels and college engagements. "Femme It Forward is here to celebrate the depth, power and talent of women in music and entertainment," said Lowery. "This is my call to every female creative in the industry." Femme It Forward programming for next year includes cross-genre concert lineups of talent, pop-up live shows where male artists celebrate women, gatherings of women in entertainment to share moments of adversity and triumph, and a live series and documentary promoting groundbreaking female artists in Latin music.
