One of the ultimate goals among multi-talented artists and entertainers is the EGOT, an acronym that includes the first letter of all four of the top prizes in entertainment — Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. This past weekend's Emmy Awards ceremony welcomed a new member into this exclusive club. Elton John won the trophy in the Outstanding Variety Special (Live) category. He and his co-producers took the Emmy for their Disney+ special, "Elton John: Farewell from Dodger Stadium," which chronicled the legendary singer's final concert at Dodger Stadium in California. There are now 19 members of the EGOT group, including Viola Davis, who won her first Grammy last year; Whoopi Goldberg and John Legend.
