Ticket demand is currently booming for the FIFA World Cup 2026. As of press time, fans from over 200 countries have submitted more than 150 million ticket requests, a record-breaking tally, FIFA recently announced. That is 3.4 times the overall number of people who have ever attended a World Cup match and more than 30 times the available seats. The third ticketing period began on Dec. 11 and will close on Jan. 13. FIFA officials will then randomly draw applicants to receive tickets. From June 11 through July 19, the 2026 World Cup will take place in 16 host cities throughout Canada, Mexico and the United States — including at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium where there will be eight matches.
