The Carolina Hurricanes held the Vegas Golden Knights to five total goals in Games 4 and 5 of the NHL Finals and won this past Sunday's clinching Game 6 by a score of 3-0 to claim their first Stanley Cup in 20 years. At age 37, Carolina center Jordan Staal received the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. Also notable was Taylor Hall's accomplishment — playing on his seventh NHL team and finally winning his first Stanley Cup. Most impressively, the Hurricanes were led by Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour, who captained Carolina to its 2006 title as a player.
