Elevate has agreed to pay UCLA $4 million up front under terms of a five-year ticketing revenue-share accord that grants the company a 5 percent commission fee on the Bruins’ net ticket revenue as long as the university sells at least $100 million of athletic tickets over the term. Sportico recently obtained a copy of the services agreement, hammered out this past fall, via a public records request. The previously unreported document offers a rare glimpse into Elevate's emerging college sports business. The $4 million signing bonus was supposed to be paid by this Friday, Jan. 9, according to the pact. A UCLA spokesperson said the university "anticipate[s] that portion of the contract to be fulfilled.” Some other uncertainties, though, remain including the question of what happens if UCLA football relocates from its current Rose Bowl home in Pasadena to Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium. Elevate serves as UCLA’s exclusive third-party ticket sales agent under the agreement. All related costs will be covered by the university, per the agreement.
