Restaurants and businesses in the Atlanta metropolitan area enjoyed a boost in sales after a busy recent weekend that featured four Beyoncé concerts, Major League Baseball's All-Star Game and a WWE event. New data from the Toast point-of-sale platform showed that eateries near Mercedes-Benz Stadium registered a 14% increase in sales as of midnight that Sunday versus the eight-week average prior to the event. Up next for Metro Atlanta is the 2026 FIFA World Cup followed by the 2028 Super Bowl. Atlanta's businesses and event planners say this recent jam-packed weekend was a great proving ground to show they are "ready for the spotlight and the surge in spending that comes with it."
