Facebook has joined AEG's AXS Anywhere ticket distribution program, which will not only enable U.S. customers to buy tickets within Facebook without having to reroute to another site, but also provide AXS with valuable data by analyzing user behavior on a participating artist's page. A Facebook representative says the service will be deployed in additional territories throughout the first quarter of 2018. The ticket also is made available through an AXS digital ticket or the AXS app. AXS says the checkout process can be a simple as two clicks, as long as ticket purchasers have provided all the necessary information to Facebook. "Events are social by nature, and the 2-billion-plus users from Facebook adds an essential element to AXS Anywhere and our partner distribution strategy," Perez notes. "This relationship exemplifies our strategy of serving the right ticket, to the right fan, in the right channel."
